Hear what our daymakers have to say about us

I always wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself and help others. Since I joined the On Verve and became a DayMaker I found a purpose. DayMaker definition says that a DayMaker is a person who performs an intentional act of kindness and I believe that kindness and compassion is never going to go out of fashion. Being a DayMaker it’s so much more than just a job, it’s a life changer, it gives me a purpose

Edyta, Host DayMaker, Manchester

On Verve isn’t just a company, it’s a strong community that comes together for each other no matter the distance. On Verve is an incredible company to work for, not only consistently supporting your career growth, but also consistently supporting your personal growth too. Being a DayMaker is more than just providing a service, I love my role because I can use my creativity and initiative to bring new ideas and put my own personal touch on things whilst making an impact on someone’s day at the same time!

Georgie, DayMaker, Reading

Working as a DayMaker at On Verve has been the best decision I’ve ever made. My favorite part of my role is making people feel happy and comfortable in the workplace. I love seeing their faces light up when I remember small details about them, and it’s great to hear people tell me they now look forward to coming into the office because of the events I organise. Additionally, I enjoy collaborating with other DayMakers across the country through the DayMaker chat. It’s inspiring to share and gain ideas for events and to get to know my colleagues better. Being a DayMaker has also allowed me to make a difference by raising money for local charities that are important to me.

Lauren, Receptionist DayMaker, Manchester

Working for On Verve has been a truly great experience, and one that I learn from every day. Being a DayMaker allows me to shape the office environment, whether that is through event planning such as my recent Bake Off, improving education on health and wellness with webinars and posters, or even just being a friendly face to talk to! The ethos to ‘be the maker of someone’s day’ really helps me prioritise my work to ensure everyone’s needs are heard and addressed. It’s true that there’s an On Verve ‘energy’ we all strive to uphold across the country, which I think helps bring us together despite the distance.

Selesha, Reception Host, Luton

What I love most about my role is the variety, no two days are the exact same! Being trained on and helping various parts of Churchill like HSEQ or HelpPoint means I feel equipped to deal with any issues that might pop up elsewhere, and it definitely keeps me busy which I love. Although DayMaker is definitely a social role, there are times also to wind down and get stuck into something at your desk, which helps to keep the social battery topped up.

Selesha, Reception Host, Luton

Since joining On Verve I can honestly say my work life is the best it has ever been.
The team are amazing at encouraging each other, providing support and celebrating everyone’s successes. Everyday as a DayMaker is different, from turning complaints into happy resolutions to throwing a Pizza Party just because it’s Tuesday! The best part of my job is seeing that smile on someone’s face and knowing I have made their day, it’s such a wonderful feeling.
